Hello everyone,
I’m considering changing DASCore’s license from LGPLv3 to MIT, starting
with the upcoming 1.0 release.
My goal is to make DASCore as easy as possible to adopt and build upon,
including in commercial software. AI tools also make it increasingly easy
to re-implement functionality instead of using an existing library. I would
rather encourage people to use and improve DASCore directly than spend time
and resources recreating it.
I’d welcome your thoughts on the proposed change, whether you support it
or not. Because the current code includes contributions from several
people, I also need explicit permission from contributors who agree to have
their work included in an MIT-licensed release. If you agree and have the
rights to your contribution, please reply with:

DASCore 1.0.
If you disagree, or need to check whether you have the authority to grant
permission for work done through an employer or institution, please say so.
I will only include your contributions in an MIT-licensed release if you
explicitly grant permission. Existing LGPL releases will remain available
under their original terms.
