Summary
Give Claude Code sessions using Evolver free web search and page fetching with Parallel Search MCP. The guide uses Fast mode search without an account or API key, with an opt-in setup local to one project.
I work at Parallel.
What changed
How to test
examples/parallel-research.md; the server should report HTTP transport and a connected status in Claude Code.node index.js; expect a GEP prompt. The CLI sanity check passed with disposable runtime state. Setup and removal passed with Claude Code 2.1.302; anonymous search and page fetching were checked directly through MCP.Risk
Low: documentation only. Web research is explicitly enabled in the host session; Evolver runtime defaults and skill permissions stay unchanged.

Overview
Adds an optional Parallel Search MCP walkthrough so Claude Code users running Evolver can research unfamiliar errors via anonymous web search and page fetch, without changing Evolver runtime or hooks.
The new
examples/parallel-research.mdcovers localclaude mcp add/removeforevolver-parallel-search, verification via/mcp, a sample research prompt (e.g. Windowsspawn EINVAL), and privacy notes about queries going to Parallel. Hello World’s “Next steps” now links to that guide.Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit f25752c. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.
