TypedConfig

Strongly-Typed Configuration & Persisted Attached Properties Framework for .NET

.NET

Overview

TypedConfig is a .NET library and architectural prototype for managing strongly-typed application settings and persisted attached domain properties without relying on untyped string key-value lookups.

It combines compile-time C# configuration contracts with Entity Framework-backed persisted property stores and high-throughput deserialization benchmarks.

Key Components

  • ExampleDomain — Strongly-typed configuration contracts (IExampleTypedConfig, DefaultExampleConfig, SubscriptionType).
  • PersistedAttachedSettings — Generic attached property abstractions (AttachedProperty, AttachedPropertyValue, AttachedDataMapper, AttachedDataRepositoryLong) allowing dynamic, schema-safe extension properties on domain entities.
  • PersistedAttachedPropertiesConcrete — Concrete Entity Framework persistence adapter and migrations (PropertyContext, ContextAdapter).
  • PerformanceSmokeTest — Serialization and lookup performance benchmark suite (KnownTypeDeserializer, GeneratedExampleConfig).
