Per LLNL instructions based on Executive Order, effective 10/22/26:

  • Updated AI & Machine Learning category description on contribution page
  • Updated category rules in json
  • All news posts mentioning AI are dated before the effective date, therefore no changes
  • We cannot control/enforce the topics people tag their repos with; therefore keep artificial-intelligence as a topic that feeds the catalog browse
  • Similarly, we cannot control/enforce repo descriptions, which appear on "cards" in the catalog browse
