I measure vegetation structure from lidar and multispectral imagery (canopy height, biomass, and carbon) across agricultural and forest landscapes.
M.S. International Agricultural Development, UC Davis (2026), Digital Agriculture (remote sensing & plant science) specialization.
My background runs from an M.S. thesis on whole orchard recycling and almond biochar compost in young almond systems, through a NASA DEVELOP project fusing Sentinel-1/2, USGS 3DEP lidar and drone-based lidar for agroforestry biomass estimation in the Midwest, to evaluation of spaceborne-derived canopy height models. Field side: UAV photogrammetry,GNSS/RTK, thermal and CWSI. Analysis side: Python (GeoPandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost), Google Earth Engine, mixed models, R/lidR, QGIS and ArcGIS.

Currently working through a build sequence: lidar production QC → spatial SQL → GEDI vs 3DEP canopy height over California almonds → perennial-crop mapping → point-cloud deep learning → geospatial agent evaluation. Repos appear here as they ship.
